FAQs

Using an experienced, neutral thinking partner to help individuals and organizations achieve goals and overcome challenges so they fulfill their potential.

That all depends on what you would like to achieve. Think of a business coach as a blank canvas. A neutral, non-judgemental ally who wants you and your business to thrive, and so will help you work towards goals, navigate challenges, and make better informed decisions.

Potential results: improved personal and team performance; better business development frameworks, more thoughtful decision making.

You might not. We’ll only know that once we’ve had a conversation. But as you are reading this, it suggests there is something nagging at you that you could benefit from talking through. In my experience, people often don’t realize the benefit a coach can bring (I was exactly the same). It is only after having a conversation, sharing an issue or goal, that you realize how beneficial it was to talk things through and gain a fresh perspective.

Again, that depends. If you have a goal or something that is challenging you, talking it through with someone experienced at questioning and listening, is incredibly powerful.

Almost anything. I work with clients primarily in a business context, but this also moves into work/life balance, career development etc.

Have you moved forward in your thinking? Do you have a different perspective? Do you have greater clarity? If so, we’ve made progress, which is most likely. If not, either we need more time, or we need to reassess if our partnership is working.

No fixed answer here. Every partnership is different in the time required to make progress. For some this is a couple of sessions. Other clients prefer a monthly check in. It really depends on what we are working on.

As above. It really depends on what you want to achieve, the number of sessions we believe is needed and length of the partnership. We will chat this through in the ‘Run it by me’ session.

We will outline a particular goal or challenge to be discussed in the session. This has to feel achievable. We then explore this in depth, and potentially use relevant frameworks or techniques to broaden our thinking and clarify required action steps for you to work on.

Yes. Online or in person. Even better if we can find time to get onto the trails in the beautiful county of Marin! There is something about being off a screen, in nature, that is highly conducive to broadening perspectives. And it gets your steps in too!

I truly believe anyone benefits from talking to someone who isn't there to judge, but to purely listen, and ask questions to shift one’s thinking.
